A full day of technical presentations and discussion groups about pump and pump related equipment is scheduled for the second day of the Symposium. For past Symposium's there have been four large rooms hosting concurrent presentations and discussions related to End-User, OEM, EPC, and Industry hot topics. These topics may be presented by both industry experts or your peers. Past topics have varied greatly including:

• Reliability Case Studies;

• 10 Ways to Kill Your Pump;

• Piping Design for Centrifugal vs Reciprocating Pumps; and

• Root Cause Analysis of Machinery Failures.

Run at the same time as the Symposium Presentations are our Discussion Groups. The Discussion Groups are typically run by 3 to 4 members of the Calgary Pump Symposium Organizing Committee as well as some of the guest presenters. Topics range across the spectrum of the rotating equipment industry and are fluid throughout the sessions based on feedback from the audience.
